Navy drone seized by China

Should the United States Navy be so close to China anyway?  Deeper questions need to be discussed before before formulating a military response, which tends to be the foreign policy of the United States government.

2016 Veteran's Day Parade Information for Friday, November 11

We are to meet at Walnut St. between Pennsylvania and Delaware in downtwon Indy near IPS headquarters.  We are supposed to be there before 11:15.  I will be there then; I think if anyone wants you can wait until around 11:45 or noon to show.  The parade starts at noon but since we are the last section (of four), we won't be stepping off until much after noon.

They don't hate us for our freedom fries?

It's good to know at least secretly the US government recognizes the truth:  people kill Americans and other westerners because the US government bombs and drones over there.  This doesn't make up for all the bad the FBI has done over the years, like spy on Martin Luther King, Jr., but it is a good start.

Electoral Politics got you feeling down ...

Then, come join our "Big Tent".   We've got something for everyone, while maintaining a principled position against intervening, overtly and covertly, in the internal affairs of other nations.  We believe in a strong national defense, with emphasis on defense.  We support Veterans.  We support active military by wanting to reduce their time away from families and being exposed to unnecessary danger and harm while abroad.  We believe in transparency.  We believe in smaller government in the sense the funds used for foreign military bases and operations can be better utilized in the "Homeland" (as the government insists on calling it).  We believe in bigger government in the sense those funds currently earmarked for overseas contingency operations can instead be used to improve the lives of people here.  So, in a sense we are America First for that and because we recognize the sovereignty of other nations and peoples.  We are also World First because we don't think America should be bombing other peoples and countries.

Sounds like a pretty good platform, and since we support peace, we are not going to resort to name-calling and baiting you into a fight!  If you think our soundbites are sound, write to us at Veteransforpeaceindy@gmail.com.

Is Peace Controversial?

We are an organization that believes performing the Constitutional duty of providing for the common defense is best accomplished by diplomatic and peaceful means rather than going abroad in search of monsters to destroy and by avoiding entangling alliances, as founding fathers like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and John Quincy Adams advised.

We would love for you to join us.

Which countries are the safest?

Could it have anything to do with the lack of aggressive foreign policies?  Costa Rica has no army yet is very safe.  Switzerland has no "entangling alliances".  Does Al Qaeda or ISIS not attack them because they are not free enough?

US soldiers want fewer ‘nation building’ interventions, more attention at home - poll

Are active-duty military members becoming more peaceful, or at least less interested in foreign interventions?  A new poll indicates that may be the case:

Remember, the Constitutional duty is to "provide for the common defence" (original spelling).   Attacking countries with very little ability to attack the United States, such as Vietnam or Iraq, may do more harm than good to that common defence.
